Бабушки ее подруг дарили им подарки. Бабушка Нехамы подарила ей истории, драгоценные истории. Когда бабушка рассказывала, как обрывала лепестки с цветов, чтобы узнать, любит ли ее тот, кто ей понравился, а потом выбрасывала неудачные цветки и бралась за другие, чтобы добиться нужного ответа, Нехама уже точно знала, что непременно напишет историю своей стойкой, упрямой бабушки. Она знала, что стойкость родилась в бабушке задолго до того, как она сказала своим подругам в Освенциме, что обязательно вернется домой.
Нехама живет в Бруклине с мужем и дочерями. Бабушка жила совсем рядом. Сейчас Нехама получает степень магистра по диетологии.
