Студенты осуществляли ранжирование мотивов по их значимости: от 1 – наиболее значимый до 16 – наименее значимый.

Использование испытуемыми обыденного языка позволяло получить отношение к личностному развитию «обыденного житейского сознания». С целью обработки и анализа полученных данных применялся метод качественно-количественного анализа документов (контент-анализ). Контекстуальной единицей являлось высказывание одного испытуемого по одному из направлений изменений. Единицей счета выступало «элементарное высказывание».
